Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the parseaddr API and website (the "Service"). By creating a key or calling the API you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

parseaddr provides a hosted address-parsing and standardisation API built on libpostal. It structures and normalises free-text addresses. It is not an address verification, deliverability, or PAF service, and results are provided on a best-effort basis without a guarantee of correctness.

2. Accounts & API keys

• You are responsible for keeping your API key secret and for all usage under it.
• One free key per organisation is intended for evaluation; abuse of the free tier may be rate-limited or suspended.
• You must not resell raw API access as a substantially similar competing parsing API.

3. Plans, billing & caps

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Prices are shown on the pricing page.
• Each plan includes a monthly call allowance. On reaching your cap, requests return 429 until you upgrade or the next period begins. There are no automatic overage charges.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via the Stripe customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

4. Refunds

Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If the Service is materially unavailable for an extended period within a billing month, contact support@parseaddr.com and we will consider a pro-rata credit in good faith.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to break the law, to process data you have no right to process, or to attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.

6. Data

Our handling of the addresses you submit and of your account data is described in our Privacy Policy. In short: submitted addresses are processed in memory and never stored.

7. Availability & warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or for abuse that threatens the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time.

10. Changes & governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
